About the exhibition
This exhibition presents a selection of works by students and course participants from Sörängens Folkhögskola/Jönköpings Konstskola in Jönköping, Sweden, and Prosta Kreska Art School in Gdańsk, Poland. Centered around the theme City Perspectives in Europe, the exhibition brings together diverse interpretations of urban landscapes, reflecting both individual sensitivity and cultural context.
The collaboration was established through the Erasmus programme, creating an opportunity for artistic exchange and shared learning. As part of this initiative, students from Sweden will visit Gdańsk, where they will take part in an architectural drawing course and an outdoor workshop organized by Prosta Kreska, as well as visit the Gdańsk University of Technology and the Academy of Fine Arts.
The exhibition highlights a range of approaches to observing and interpreting the city, revealing how diverse educational backgrounds and artistic practices shape the way urban space is perceived, experienced and represented.
About PROSTA KRESKA, GdAŃSK
Prosta Kreska is an art studio established in 2014 in Gdańsk, Poland, created for people of all ages who want to develop their artistic abilities and visual sensitivity. The school offers drawing and painting courses for children, teenagers, and adults – from first creative steps to professional preparation for entrance exams to art schools (ASP), architecture studies (PG), and art high schools.
Our rich program also includes hobby workshops for beginners and advanced artists, fostering creativity for pure pleasure. At the heart of Prosta Kreska's activities is the belief that drawing is not just a skill, but above all a way of looking at the world and expressing oneself. Led by a passionate team of academic lecturers, art school graduates, and dedicated enthusiasts, we create a supportive environment for artistic growth.
ABOUT Jönköpings konstskola/Jönköpings Folkhögskola

The participants in this exhibition and Erasmus collaboration are students from the year called “The artistic project year” and the main aim for this education is to both develop some artistic skills further but also exploring the diverse meaning and expression of art. The school also provide a Basic art year. The purpose for each individual can vairy, from just wanting to enhance artistic growth and some personal artwork to wanting to get a portfolio together for applying to a higher art & design education. All students have individual sketchbook and portfolio tutorials through the education year. We often work with themes in different techniques, we experience art at museums and galleries, we make art, we talk about art, analyse art and we exhibit our art.
Now more than ever it feels important for us to emphasize that art is making the humans to grow and the world a more understandable place!
